Strengthening Europe’s Digital Sovereignty: SAP Announces Deeper Collaboration with French AI Leaders
At #EUSummit25 in Berlin, SAP SE CEO Christian Klein presented a new phase of integration with European technology partners aimed at enhancing digital independence and advancing secure AI-powered cloud services.
SAP SE confirmed the expansion of its strategic cooperation with Bleu, Capgemini, and Mistral AI, which will form the foundation for a scalable and sovereign IT infrastructure in Europe.
SAP and Mistral AI plan to jointly develop the first fully sovereign European AI stack, integrating the products of both companies and enabling the creation of local, secure, and regulation-compliant enterprise solutions. The initiative has received support from Chancellor Friedrich Merz and President Emmanuel Macron.
The partnership also emphasized the importance of resilient infrastructure. Through commitments by Bleu and Delos Cloud GmbH to coordinate in emergency or crisis situations, a cross-border alliance is being formed to ensure rapid response capabilities and stable operation of critical digital services.
In addition, SAP announced the deepening of its collaboration with Capgemini to accelerate the development of agent-based AI solutions that will support digital business transformation across multiple industries in Europe.
