HR and Payroll Update: Automation and Control in the New FP2025.08.12 Release

Colleagues, we are pleased to announce the release of the new HR and Payroll add-on FP2025.08.12 from best-run Consulting for SAP Business One. The update enhances HR and payroll management, making processes more automated and efficient. It focuses on improving accounting accuracy and streamlining core HR workflows.

Key changes in the release:

• Automatic insured person code validation
  When onboarding a new employee, the system automatically checks for the insured person code. If no code is specified, the system assigns value “1” or “36” depending on the type of employment. If the employee’s code is set to “2,” the user receives a prompt with options to either overwrite the code or leave it unchanged.

• Payroll transaction preview
  A preview function for accounting entries has been added to the “Payroll Calculation” document. This feature helps prevent errors before posting and gives accountants greater control.

• New bonus type “Standard”
  A new bonus option has been added to the “Earnings” directory. Users can now configure whether a bonus should be prorated by time worked (monthly, quarterly, annual) or paid together with salary without additional calculations. This makes bonus processing more transparent and flexible for HR and accounting departments.
