SAP has confirmed its strong support for Ukraine – on January 20, 2023, it was announced that SAP provided 1,000 free software licenses for the military needs of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Additionally, a special “Support Ukraine” button appeared in SAP Business Network, simplifying the search for suppliers ready to provide assistance and enabling Ukrainian procurement officers to easily find reliable partners. According to SAP, more than 10,000 suppliers have already offered support, with over 75% of assistance requests receiving responses.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, emphasized the strategic importance of this cooperation. According to him, free SAP licenses for the Ministry of Defense represent a strong contribution to the state’s digital resilience and the modernization of defense IT systems.

Fedorov also noted that the partnership with SAP is part of a broader digitalization program implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation. He thanked SAP for supporting the ministry’s initiatives, including Digital4Freedom, and stressed that Ukraine is becoming “the best testing ground” for innovative technologies in practice.
